Overview:
There
are many dog off-leash areas (OLAs) in the greater Seattle area, but Edmonds is one of the few
OLAs
that provides a scenic and pleasant non-threatening place for dogs
and their owners. Dogs are permitted to run free,
swim, meet new friends, and play. A
small group of volunteers
founded the non-profit organization called "Off-Leash Area - Edmonds (O.L.A.E)"
in 2005; and in 2006, the IRS determined that O.L.A.E. is exempt from Federal Income
Tax under section 501(c)3 of the Code. Contributions to
O.L.A.E. are all tax deductible!!!
About Us:
O.L.A.E. was formed to provide continued support and stewardship to the
designated off-leash area in Edmonds. O.L.A.E. is
committed to letting dogs run free; educating the users on proper off-leash
area dog conduct; maintaining a good rapport with the City of Edmonds Parks and
Recreation Department; and to kindly remind folks of the importance of dog waste disposal.
O.L.A.E.'s annual meeting is in
November of each year. Officers can be found on the

We are always looking for Volunteers, Officers, and Directors who are committed to managing and maintaining this
valuable asset.
Our Mission:
O.L.A.E.’s
primary missions are: becoming responsible users and stewards of the off-leash
area in Edmonds; educating
folks on responsible
dog ownership; and promoting off-leash dog recreation and usage.
O.L.A.E. secondary mission is fund raising efforts that will be directed
to sustain daily park maintenance and provide funds for future projects. Our
main goal is to gain volunteers to assist us in keeping this valuable asset an
enjoyable experience.
